try doing it with the chain off. Then place it on the hangar so the pin is behind it and then screw it in the tensioned position then when you put the chain on it will be allready tensioned which could be a pain but it works ive done it. Im thinking your hangar could be like not compatible, try getting some pics of the problem up

If this is what you mean

That little piece of metal on the tensioner goes behind the lip on your hangar so it keeps the spring tensioned

i really like the pike although i found that it was a bit to plush for me so i got an x-firm coil put in it but just recently i broke the lockout on it aswell witch kind of sucks. i got all those stikers from 5.10 they make rock climbing stuff and mountain bike shoes just send them a nice e-mail telling them how much you like their stuff and ask for some stickers thats all i did and i got a whole bunch some posters and a huge banner thing.

Iv'e just been thinking. I think just a standard Chain Tensioner will work. I don't see why it won't...It should just be like you Derrailier...But stronger and no 'Bounce'. The only thing you might need is a slightly longer chain. (Probably only by about 4 links)

You have to have a specific frame by the looks of things. You can get adapters, But people say it isn't worth it. I'll look for some Rear ones.

Honestly? I don't know if it will work properly. It says it will, But I don't understand it personally. It attached to the Front BB...So you might want to look for a Rear mount. I'll have a look around and get back to you soon.
